Sometimes, you can’t pull your punches.
I think I have a tentative solution for the Secret Commentary change up. It’s been re-hidden elsewhere. Let me know if you find it.
…damn. You found it. clevergirl.jpg

Gien: The NERVE of you!
I am TRYING to do what is best for ALL of us!
To reclaim what we have LOST!
Te Vahn: Ain’t nothin’ here to reclaim.
This ain’t Sarnoth, Gien. An’ it never will be.
It’s a fool’s errand to treat this place as anythin’ else but it’s own.
Yer the only one here who can’t see that.

Today's edition of the Secret Commentary is empty, because Dave failed to come up with something for it.
Well said, Te. But I recommend you have a quiet word with Todd and/or Scar at earliest opportunity to warn them that Gien is being a very angry poopyhead and may do something inadvisable…
Or Agent Brown.
Especially agent Brown. Poopyheads need thorough public airings
I am the cleverest of girls.
As am I.
I found it only because I’m twitchy and regularly mess with my mouse while reading stuff.
I did not understand where was the hidden commentary, as it shows up as black text plainly, your comment made me realize that it was just not hidden for me.
Did you also know that hidden text is not hidden when looking at the comic from the Comics tag?
Sneaky!
Ummm Dave? Oh great ruler over there is missing the white on two of his top teeth, he’s looking a little gappy atm
Yeah, this won’t end well. We know how it tends to go with human society when the leader is stuck in the past, and there’s no reason to think Sarnothi are any different. Gien isn’t even paying enough attention to realize that Selkie DOES want to work to help the colony – when she’s old enough and knows how to actually use her Echo abilities. He’s just going to push her, and quite possibly a lot of others, away.
Not to mention that Selkie has three parents inclined to go Papa Wolf/Mama Bear at someone who threatens her.
Don’t forget two of the three parents are basically sharks with frickin laser beams.
I had to view the page source to figure out how the “Secret Commentary” was “hidden” because I saw it immediately, just in a different color than the rest of the text. Then I remembered that I’m using Dark Reader which changes all the colors.
Oh lord. My machinations undone by a color scheme. XD
Oh I had the same thing. I thought it was a joke.
I cant find the commentary 🙁
Never mind, I found it.
For all the many years in IT, I still am baffled by “where has he hidden it?”
I definitely can’t find it, and it makes me a sad panda.
Yep, same here, Pixi
Well, now I feel silly.
Couldn’t find it yesterday, but now it seems so obvious.
Savail wins the internet.
For all the many years in IT, I still am baffled by “where has he hidden it?”
Gein looks like he’s about to throw a temper tantrum.
Gien’s just trying to one up humanity and install racial pride in Selkie motivated solely through what I call clan mentality. Someone needs to tell him that.
Ok. I’ve clicked on
RRS feed. – that takes me to Apple, which says that info not available on Apple.
Both the Blue links at the bottom of the page, that just takes me a to a refresh of the page, without the comments showing.
Banner – no
Dave’s name – no
Purple side bar – no
Lilac center panel – no
View my portfolio – no
Various parts of the comic – no
I quit looking, cannot see anything of a different color to click.
I am fail.
It’s not a click. It’s a highlight. Try searching for something that Savail used as a context clue.
I’ll give away the solution, if you wish it. Do not finish reading this if you still wish to search on your own.
I’m going to find a different method than what I did this time, because color scheme changes and differing browsers wrecked the whole endeavor. But the secret location for today’s commentary is: under the blog post, in text the same color as the background. Highlight the regular text and drag it down to highlight the hidden text.
You can usually count on farmer-types to be well grounded and practical of mind.
Not sophisticated perhaps, but sensible.
