I don’t know which is worse, a Selkie that’s horrified by the Chair and Rope Thing, or a Selkie that’s inspired by it.
The Chair and Rope thing is a hard nut to crack.
I don’t know which is worse, a Selkie that’s horrified by the Chair and Rope Thing, or a Selkie that’s inspired by it.
Casino Royal or Burn Notice? There was a scene in Burn Notice scene where they have two thugs tied to chairs and blindfolded. They refused to talk so they kick the first thug out a seventh story window. Upon hearing the shattering glass and blood curdling scream the second thug spills everything.
You know, except the first thug’s chair was tied down, stopping him from going splat.
Just to clarify, by “tied down” I mean the chair was tied to the building bungee style.
This is more forced and contrived than Dany vs. Sansa.
So… you’re telling me I’m good enough to write for HBO?
🤣 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Selkie you aren’t even old enough for that kind of movies. (Says the person who saw Hellraiser when she was about 12, and somehow managed to be too into the special effects to be traumatized)
I mean, I was forced to sit through the Lethal Weapon series when I was 10 or 11.
Not nearly as bad, true, but I don’t really think an arbitrary number is a substitute for good parenting and parental discretion.
Heh, I saw Predator when I was about 7. Wanna know what traumatized me out of that entire movie? When the predator took his mask off and we saw that ugly as face.
Looks like Keisha is planning to pull Selkie aside to clue her in on what’s really happening here and I’m *really* curious to see what Selkie’s reaction is. While I don’t think she’ll be jealous from a puppy love angle I do think she might get jealous and/or fearful that she’ll have her best friend ‘stolen’.
As for her current reaction I’m guessing she’s either annoyed at George snapping at her a bit or the posters from Monday were right and she’s a bit jealous of not being in the spotlight. To be fair until relatively recently a lot of the ‘spotlight’ attention she got was negative so I can’t really blame her for enjoying the more positive attention she’s been getting lately with new friends and her Echo powers.
Negative attention is still attention.
Yes, but give a child who’s used to negative attention some positive attention and they’ll become an attention-hog.
The myth about parent birds refusing to raise chicks after a human has touched them has been fairly thoroughly debunked by now.
(However, it has happened that baby birds falling out of a high nest, and replaced, might not survive a second fall… or be killed by a cat with a full stomach… or for some other reason be found dead a couple days later).
Animals in general are usually pretty committed to continuation of the species, moreso than humans, sometimes.
This seems like a, “My friends, my house, my party. I should be able to do whatever I want.” kinda thing. She seems jealous that her old friend hit it off with her new friend and that they should include her in everything even though they’re just getting to know one another. It’s definitely fairly normal for kids to be brats like this. Hopefully Keisha gives her a more mature perspective on this.
I read it more as Selkie being jealous of George, her best friend, showering so much attention on Te Fahn
She seems jealous that her old friend and new friend are hitting it off so well without her being involved, yes, that is what I had said in the latter half of my statement.
no kink shaming selkie XD
The chair and rope thing kind of works like what you did to make Truck let go of you, Selkie. I thought that was fairly obvious :p
