And here is the 4th round of head tests.
I want to thank everyone for their feedback regarding the first three rounds. When I am considering multiple solutions to a problem I like getting outside opinions, so thank you for the help.
I’ve made my decisions regarding lines and shading and am now turning my eye to character design. I’d like to polish up the way I draw the cast a bit, so I tweaked some of my facial structures a little. I want to keep the character’s distinctive faces as much as possible, but added some refinements like cheekbones and a few more curves with less emphasis on straight lines and geometric shapes.
Todd is the biggest change of the bunch. For a long time now I’ve felt he looks too boyish the way I draw him, so I’ve given him a little of the Owen Burnett treatment to get him looking closer to his true age.
I’d never thought of Todd looking boyish until you mentioned it. I like the new sketches.
I like where your going with the sketches. The differences are subtle but they do effect the characters without taking away the essence of their looks. I say good call all around.
