“Your daughter is plotting to savage an octopus as of this past Friday. In hindsight, I should have told you then.”

Wanted to let everyone know, I have attained an Artist Alley spot at this year’s Anime Central next month! My table number is still TBA, but I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
I probably should have just copy-pasted the last page's Big Ringing Bell, but naaaaaah.
Why am I suddenly expecting that Todd and Andi have a confrontation while picking up Selkie and Amanda?
That’s what I said!
Or at the aquarium.
Yeah – I’m not feeling any kind of love for Amanda. That girl is just. Plain. Mean.
It just shows that her personality hasn’t actually changed just because she was adopted. Also, considering that we know that her relationship with Selkie is destined to change the moment the four of them run into each other (or even just Todd, Andi, and Amanda), her window of opportunity on mean-ness is closing fast. Neither Andi or Todd are going to tolerate this kind of behavior, regardless of whether Amanda decides she wants to stop once she realizes they’re sisters.
It’s also not super smart of her to ask if Selkie is going to “say hi” to the fish when she already established in class that she wanted to eat the octopus. Some put-down regarding that would have been more clever. But they’re only eight years old, so I’ll cut Amanda some slack.
Jeez Amanda, ever since your mom picked you up you’ve been a real jerk. Especially to Selkie.
That’s not exactly a new development… I think by this point, Amanda isn’t jealous anymore, she’s just fallen into a habit of being nasty to Selkie (from years of convincing herself that Selkie is awful).
Here’s hoping the new site gives you many good years. Cheers.
wow. waiting there just to be mean to Selkie. i think that Amanda deserves a big friendly “smile”
give amanda a break people! we know that she’s very much a work in progress. you can’t expect her to turn into a saint overnight,
THANK YOU. My thoughts EXACTLY!!!
Pretty much what I was thinking. She’s not going to suddenly get over all the issues she spent years developing because her mom is back in her life.
YES.
I am Not asking for Sainthood, I am asking for non-bullying, find someone else to play with instead of torturing the odd one. Amanda, stop acting like a crocodile and behave. Water + Amanda= instagator.
Parent Teacher Conference is a one-on-one meeting of parent and teacher, right?
Yep.
Amanda isn’t wearing her earrings! :O
AAARRGH, I knew that nibbling “You forgot something” feeling was legit. >_< Thanks for catching that.
Know that feel! I can’t count how many times I forgot to put the little pointer things on my word bubbles.
Better than flying to another country, opening your suitcase the next morning and realizing you left all your shirts on the ironing board 5,000 miles away.
Thankfully, there’s Wal-Marts everywhere now. ;P
Yet. “I didn’ts dos anything bads YET.” There’s still plenty of time in the day to stick something in.
Side note, Dave, there’s something just a touch different about the background, the way the comments look, etc. I don’t know if the colors are just slightly different or what exactly it is, but I’m assuming it changed when you changed webhosts, and it looks cool.
Yeah I took the liberty of fussing with the color settings a bit since they had to be redone anyway.
That conference is gonna be awkward.
Just not happy if she isn’t being a mean little brat. For crying out loud, she’s waiting there just to taunt Selkie.
I sincerely hope this doesn’t turn into a fight that Todd and Andi walk in on.
Aaaand Amanda’s back to being an ass. Lovely. Hope her mom gets her into shape here.
Awwww I hope Mina clears things up with Todd and they politely hash stuff out.
Telling a child to forward a spoken message to a parent is not a good idea in general. Either call the parent yourself, or at least give the kid a written note!
