Sandy maaaaaay not be entirely kidding about the makeup thing, but I don’t think Todd and Selkie’s home has anything more extensive than chapstick.

Thanks so much!
I had a few more plans for the "Wu is Mad at Selkie" sub-thread, but (1) I feel like Wu wouldn't continue to hold a grudge once they came under mutual attack (especially knowing she got hurt) and (B) my original plans would work better as it's own dedicated arc, I think, so I'm gonna backburner them for awhile.
Panel 6 – apostrophe in guys is unnecessary.
love sandy’s face in panel 5.
Yeah, that’s just perfect. “Boys are SO stupid. You don’t have to YELL, to be upset.”
And Wu’s confusion. “Really? I thought the two were inclusive. Could not have one without the other”. 🙂
annnnnd now that song is stuck in my head right before bed time arrgh!

See, on the one hand, it’s good that you’re tying off a plot thread after you realized it didn’t fit the characterization you’ve established, and it’s good that you’re doing so by having the characters be sensible. It’s good that George gets winded easily, it’s good that Wu is worried about Selkie, it’s good that Sandy knows the difference between being angry and being loud.
But overall, this particular strip just isn’t very good. I expect great things from you, based on your previous accomplishments. You’ve done better. You’ve done *much* better.
I’d be first in line to agree with you. This installment aggravates me for SO MANY REASONS.
Ups and downs come and go, and the downs always provide opportunity for improvement.
Sure, it seems a little like a forced wrap-up, but if it’s going in a direction that’s no good for the overall plot, then hey! Better to cut your losses and save your efforts.
IMO, I’m not seeing where this is horrible work. Maybe it’s because I’ve lost what the established characterization for Wu and Sandy has been…
Careful, Wu! “Rockstar makeup” can be interpreted many ways – you’re probably going for KISS, but someone might set you up with a more My Chemical Romance look hahaa
Since when do 8 year-olds desperately grasp onto the attention of their friends more than their parents?
This isn’t a poor high school.
