This is a heavy-heart announcement for me, I hate that this became necessary twice, but freeing up some extra time to get this project focused on and wrapped up (actually wrapped up this time, ideally) is going to be a huge weight off my mind and my productivity.
Please enjoy the remainder of April folks, and I will see you in May.
And hopefully this will help me get updates done before 5pm again. >_>
Real life has to come first. Good luck on the project, Dave.
We’ll be here when you get back! ๐
More specifically: paid work has to come before the free online comic.
We all need to eat. We all need to pay rent/mortgage/property taxes for the roof over our heads. This is understood by any reasonably mature adult.
We’ll eagerly await your return, Dave. Until then, NAIL that freelance project! ^_^
โขwaves the pompoms to cheer you on and hope Real Life goes smoothly!โข *\o/*
Take your time and take it easy! We’ll still be here^^
See you on the other side. And get plenty of rest.
Werk, the curse of the online class. Get what you need to taken care of, then get some rest, then get on with the story. We’ll be here. Amusing ourselves with speculation on what Selkie will be doing with Daddy’s money in that store for half a month. Or something.
No worries, Dave! See you in May–and if you need the time, take a break! We aren’t going anywhere.
Good luck! ๐
Hey gluck! Ain’t goin’ nowhere.
I’m just glad the hiatus is because of paying work, instead of health issues. Kick ass out there!
We’ll be here!
Thank you for letting us know. Take care of yourself.
Hey, life happens, and this is important for you! ๐
Good luck. ๐๐ป
One more reason to look forward to May. You do what you must.
Perhaps this is a good time to read the comic from the start.
That just makes this an ideal time to introduce others to Selkie. Plenty of time for them to get caught up and for us to reread the story thus far.
Understood. We’ll be here when you get back.
Take care of yourself!
I am curious what project you are working on!
Itโs just freelance work, nothing โfunโ. XD. Local church wants a video to play for tourists that goes over the history of the building and such.
Life, and paying work take precedence. You do what you need to do. We will still be here when you get back. Drink plenty of water and get lots of rest.
Time to write Selkie fanfics!
…no, wait, I have too many WIP already. Dang.
Time to focus on things that aren’t webcomics!
No worries, Dave. Repeat after me: Worth. Waiting. For.
No worries Dave, get those bill paid.
So I will admit this… (TLDR I am forgetful)
I read this comic as part of my start up at work, while I am checking the emails from the night. I check this and a collection of other webcomics I like.
So multiple times now I go to check, go “what?… oh yeah…” and get a little disappointed, but still supportive and grateful for all the entertainment and disapointed cause it was a good part of my morning.
Good luck on your project! Take care of your real life, we’ll be here when you return!
Also, we appreciate you advising us of your “sabbaticals”!
Dunno how to start, so I guess I will jump on the “Do what you gotta do” bandwagon, go make your money.
The thing I actually wanted to say was that technically I read your comic when the 1st visit of the grandparents happened but somehow lost track of it. I then re found you again a bit ago, binged your entire archive in a week or so but I just couldn’t stop reading. So I went back and read the whole thing again while reading the comments and it took me over a month. This was a good thing, your community and story kept me going this will be the 1st webcomic that I have comment binged fully just wanted to say that.
Thank you for sticking through it! Iโm glad you enjoyed the archive binge. Comics start back up next week, hope to see you then!
